Shriya Saran has been long missing in action from the Telegu movies since the past three years, except for the one film she did last year, called Don Seenu. Now she seems to be getting back to Telegu movies with a new project she has signed opposite Allari Naresh.
Allari Naresh is currently riding high with two consecutive hits: ‘Aha Na Pelanta’ and ‘Seema Tapakai’. This can just be another one in his kitty. Shriya and Allari have never paired before on screen. There seems to be a new and unlikely pair in the making in Tollywood.
According to the sources, the film will be directed by debutant director, Narayan. It will be a multi-starrer film which is reportedly inspired by the Bollywood flick ‘Deewana Mastana’. The film is still untitled and is expected to go on floors soon. It will be produced by the renowned Vamsi Krishna.
Shriya was last seen in the Tamil film ‘Chikku Bukku’ with Arya and Preetika Rao. Her upcoming projects are ‘Rowthiram’ in Tamil, with Jeeva and ‘Casanova’ in Malayalam with Mohanlal, which is said to be the most expensive film till date in Malayalam cinema. Saran will also star in Deepa Mehta's long delayed English project 'Winds of Change' which is based on Salman Rushdie's highly acclaimed novel Midnight's Children.
