Tollywood King Akkineni Nagarjuna’s forthcoming film ‘Rajanna’ is in the final leg of completion.'Rajanna' is currently shooting in Hyderabad. Climax action episodes are being filmed in a specially erected set at Annapoorna studios. Ace Director SS Rajamouli is directing these sequences. Shooting will continue till 5th of August with that the entire talkie part gets finished. In this film Nagarjuna plays the role of a Freedom fighter.

Filmmakers are planning to release the audio in September, and the film during Dussera season.

‘Rajanna’ is set in the back drop of Razakar movement in Telangana. It is said to be based on the real situations that happened in a small village of Telangana before Independence, and Nagarjuna plays a Telangana fighter. Also, it is learnt that he speaks in Telengana dialect for most part of the film. Sneha Rajaram is the leading lady. This is her second film with Nagarjuna after ‘Ramadasu’. Rajamouli’s father Vijayendra Prasad is the directing the film while Nagarjuna is producing it on his own banner Annapurna Studios.

Music is by MM Keervani and Cinematography is by Senthil Kumar. Sneha, who worked with Nagarjuna for Sri Ramadasu, is playing heroine in Rajanna.
