ticket prices hiked

The permission for the hike in ticket prices has been given by the government. The government issued a G.O today increasing ticket prices in single screen theatres by Rs 10 in AC (air conditioned) theatres and Rs 5 in non-ac theatres. However this increase in ticket price in only for the Balcony, fares for other classes remain same.

Big producers have been asking for this hike for a long time and they finally seem to have the last laugh. But the trade feels this hike may further damage the big film looking at the kind of films they are churning out. The hike is applicable right from today itself.
