Ram Charan's Bollywood debut with 'Amitabh's 'Zanzeer' remake

The journey of Tollywood stars to Bollywood has been on a rising trend. Now, the time has come for the young superstar Ramcharan Tej to make his presence felt. The son of Megastar Chiranjeevi, who has been thinking to enter the Bollywood, has reportedly found a tailor-made project to suit his image. Well, the actor is all set to storm the B-town with the remake of Amitabh Bachchan starrer yesteryear blockbuster Zanjeer.

Sources reveal that nothing is finalized but talks are on between Charan and children of late director/producer Prakash Mehra for the rights of the film. The talk is that Charan wants his debut as an action hero and not as lover boy. From Prakash Mehra’s end, the spokesperson revealed that many big producers are in talks with them for buying the rights of ‘Zanjeer’ and ‘Sharaabi’.

It is said that Ram Charan Teja wants to make his debut as an action hero rather than lover boy characters. Hence, the actor has chosen Zanjeer. Sources further add that if things fall into place, the Chiruta actor will be seen in the role of a honest cop named Vijay, which was played by Amitabh Bachchan in the yesteryear film. The story of the film is about a police officer, who suffers a six-month jail sentence on false charges, seeking revenge against his enemies.

When Mehra’s office was contacted to confirm the news, their spokesperson admitted “In the past, many producers have approached us to remake films like Sharabi and Zanjeer. Even now we are approached by filmmakers who are keen on buying the rights of our films. We are in talks with many reputed producers. But we can’t name the interested parties at the moment. As soon as something concrete happens we will make an official announcement.”
